Raw Materials Testing Project Manager

Perfect position for the chemist/scientist that does not want to be at the bench! Our Raw Materials Project Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of our client Raw Material testing programs. They are able to work seamlessly with a cross-discipline team of scientists, technical management, sample administration, and support groups. Project Managers help facilitate the management of our projects' lifecycles within quality, time and budget requirements. They serve as their clients' internal advocate for all Eurofins Lancaster Labs activities and work closely with the project team to ensure the delivery of the project is matching and potentially exceeding the stakeholders' expectations.

Project Managers remain professional under pressure, over communicate and ensure that our clients are receiving the best experience as the face of Eurofins Lancaster Labs to our clients. They actively develop and nurture long-lasting relationships with all levels of contacts with our major Bio/Pharmaceutical Partners in the market place.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret stakeholder requirements to the technical and scientific teams and deliver a project from the perspective of managing timeline and deliverables as well as facilitating change management as necessary
  • Manage the project day-to-day needs (internal and external) to ensure the project is executed on time and on budget
  • Integrate with technical team to stay abreast of test scheduling for assigned programs
  • Interface with technical management team to understand testing capabilities to become a Subject Matter Expert
  • Translate business requirements into actionable plans
  • Facilitate day-to-day communication, arrange and proctor conference calls and client visits to our site
  • Utilize and provide constructive feedback for improvement to project management tools
  • Facilitate the document control of client GMP documentation to ensure that the labs have the necessary information to perform their tasks.
  • Actively seek and champion opportunities for improvement in processes utilizing lean ideology
  • Pro-actively ensure that all team members and the client are receiving updates on a consistent basis
  • Manage deviations and exceptions within the GMP requirements instilled by our Quality Assurance.
  • Create and manage project logs to ensure that all meeting notes and lab-essential communication is documented in accordance with ELLI procedures.
  • Facilitate and track all financial aspects of a project from request for proposal, quoting, purchase order management and invoicing

  • BS/BA in Science, Business or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship
  • Must work out of our Lancaster, Pennsylvania office
  • Computer skills- Experience utilizing MS Office including MS Project, Excel, or other project organizational tools. Experience utilizing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus.
  • Ability and desire to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Preferred Skills:
  • Aptitude for or background in chemistry or biology
  • Familiarity with drug product life cycle or previous bio/pharmaceutical experience
  • Understanding of raw material testing requirements in a GMP environment is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with some type of project management software
  • Prior project management or customer service experience in a scientific field

  • Prior GMP knowledge
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
