The Division of Infectious Diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine is committed to superb patient care, medical education and research in infectious diseases. Our basic, clinical, translational, and implementation research in conjunction with our patient care and education programs promote the acquisition of knowledge concerning infectious diseases and lead to innovative strategies to improve the lives of people both locally and globally.
Job Summary
The working relationship between a Program Director and this position is of critical importance, both collaborative and have an effective working relationship with each other and with their faculty and residents.
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Supervises one Admin Asst. and would also assist the Fellowship Director in conjunction with the being the Project Mgmt. Specialist
- Responsible for the administration of a fellowship program
- Assists the Program Director in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the program and has broad responsibilities that encompass many aspects of the management and administration of postgraduate medical education training.
General Responsibilities
- Manages a small project, from start to finish, or one phase of a large project, ensuring on time completion within budget.
- Develops project plan(s) and efficiently analyzes, tracks, forecasts, and reports on project metrics and shortfalls.
- Reports on progress and provides regular updates to upper management.
- Coordinates and communicates between various areas; conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure that project objectives are achieved within established time frames.
- May provide guidance and support to non-exempt staff.
QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This position is eligible to work a hybrid remote schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
