We're seeking an IDD Program Support Specialist to provide supervision, crisis management and prevention, and process improvement for residential group homes within Washington County. In partnering with various program leaders, you will support and train staff, drive operation efficiency, and be a key thought partner in coaching group home managers and staff through conflict resolution. If you have experience supporting individuals with I/DD or mental health challenges and are excited by the opportunity to leverage your management experience to empower others, you'll enjoy the meaningful impact you'll have in supporting the people we serve and Kerr staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Program Managers, Assistant Directors, and the Chief Program Officer
  • Support and train staff in appropriate intervention and de-escalation techniques and demonstrate by example
  • Make recommendations to improve processes and make program operations more efficient
  • Be an objective thought partner in coaching managers and staff through conflict resolution and improving communication/collaboration
  • Provide program support as needed, including reviewing and assisting with documentation and financials, scheduling staff, and covering DSP shifts


Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of combined experience working with individuals with I/DD or mental health challenges with experience in 24 hour residential group homes preferred
  • 2 - 3 years of management experience
  • Experience with trauma informed care and interventions
  • Experience with Lean management philosophy or similar systems of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, conflict resolution, and coaching
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence/emotional regulation and ability to coach others on same
  • Solution-focused mindset with excellent time management, organization, and decision-making skills
