Albertina Kerr is seeking a Program Director to oversee all operational aspects of group homes supporting youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You'll direct program activities to ensure the well-being and personal development of people we support while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Additionally, you'll support colleagues in their professional development and hold team members accountable to meet individual goals and agency initiatives. You'll be responsible for assessing opportunities to improve program structure and design, including meeting and communication structure, adherence to behavior plans, physical environment awareness, and staff development. This position is mostly field-based and remote, supporting roughly 30 group home programs in Multnomah and Washington counties. Your home office will be located within the general area and will require routine visits to programs and in-person meeting participation.

Essential Duties

  • Designs, implements, and administers programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Manages day-to-day operations with emphasis on quality of care, client/family satisfaction, and profitability
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable, and client-centered team through day-to-day leadership and management of team members
  • Motivates and leads a high-performance management team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the management team; mentors direct reports to maximize their professional development
  • Provides guidance and direction to program managers in all aspects of the financial and operational management of the program, including equipment purchases, repair and maintenance, and monitoring and controlling budgeted expenses
  • Supports ongoing professional development plans for direct care staff that includes specialized training, coaching, and professional development goals
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the agency's objectives and mission
  • Maintains open and continuous lines of communication, keeping leadership informed of all critical issues as they develop
  • Participates in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement opportunities and initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws, rules, regulations, and accrediting standards
  • Represents the company with external constituents, including community, government, and private organizations; Contributes to the company's marketing and recruitment efforts
  • Participates in various internal leadership planning and management meetings
  • Responsible for regular on-call duties based on program needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services or related field of study; or, additional relevant experience.
  • Seven years' progressively responsible experience with progressive responsibility in a large, developmental disabilities provider setting. Residential services experience preferred.
  • Five years' staff supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of the philosophies and approaches used to provide optimal support options to people with developmental disabilities.
