As a Production Planner, you will work cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, production, and service teams to address the needs of our customers. In this role, you will support all YETI customization facilities globally, including multiple product categories.

Position Type (See Workplace Approach Below): Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Set weekly production schedule taking into consideration type of order, forecast, and production capacity
  • Collaborate with Sale and Operations to schedule and prioritize daily customer shipments
  • Support Customer Service and Sales with shipment tracking and order status updates
  • Oversee daily customer order fulfillments by ensuring all scheduled orders are shipped on time
  • Ensures forecasts and bookings balance
  • Communicate special handling instructions, including labeling and delivery requirements
  • Monitors forecasts to allow material and manpower planning
  • Drive resolution of issues that prevent orders from being fulfilled
  • Serve as main POC for VIP custom orders placed by business partners
  • Manage rush requests by manually adjusting ship dates and coordinating with production to ensure customer commitments are met
  • Approve or deny sales requests based on current product allocation, balancing product allocation across multiple sales channels while also considering production capacity
  • Participate in daily conference calls with the YETI Custom Shop to discuss the day's production plan, along with any issues facing the factory that impact sales or customer service teams
  • Act as a liaison for the sales reps and the factory, helping answer general questions, checking order status, and making changes to orders that are going into production

Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a supporting role
  • Experience with durable goods at a retail company
  • Operations and inventory planning knowledge a plus
  • Results driven with strong execution skills
  • Detail oriented and exceptionally organized
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and partner with internal teams
US Workplace Approach:
  • Onsite: Role requires you to be onsite full-time.
  • Hybrid: Role requires you to be located in Austin, Texas and is a mixture of onsite and remote.
  • Remote: Role is full-time remote.
