Job Description:
- Lead manufacturing-related projects.
- Lead operations improvement - ergonomic & human factor, operations plans, recovery planning, capacity planning and capital planning.
- Provide production support - scheduling, theory of constraint, budget & forecast, crew empowerment, defect analysis, core competency definition, make/buy evaluation, benchmarking analysis.
- Identify and prioritize process improvement project - lean manufacturing, engineering economic analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical methods, six sigma and time studies.
- Facilitate system integration - Value Stream Analysis, Facility Layouts, Production Systems Design, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking, Facilities Planning.
- The hired candidate will execute time-motion study directly on the field. Perform time studies, make observations and form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause and possible solutions.
- Performs analysis aimed at improving operations, determining hourly labour requirements, and developing planning standards. In addition, assists with analyses that are smaller subcomponents of larger more complex projects.
- BS in Operations Research, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years of experience working directly with manufacturing in a production environment.
- Demonstrated ability in manufacturing and/or facilities planning.
- Factory flow, process modelling and simulations experience.
- Experience leading continuous improvement and value stream mapping events.
- Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data mining.
