What's the role?

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer who is passionate about software testing and wants to become part of E2E Testing & Test Practices team and help us improving and transforming testing of our products & services. Our team works closely with development squads and engineers inside the squads. Together with other developers & testers across the company we are also building active Testing Community to share knowledge, experience and best practices as well as shape together our ways of working and practices in testing.
In this role you will work with multiple development teams and in partnership with Test Engineering, SRE and DevOps teams on continuous testing and maximizing testing efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Defining and working on implementation of testing roadmap for various product lines with end-user UI
• Working with teams on designing and developing automated tests for mobile and embedded products
• Reviewing systems architecture and providing expertise from testing perspective in order to build systems for testability, scalability and performance
• Helping development team in analyzing current testing approach & solution in order to continuously improve testing on all levels of SDLC
• Coaching multiple development teams on testing methodologies and actively building testing domain with strong focus on test automation and TDD practices
• Together with other Test Domain team members building common testing strategy & practices

Who are you?

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar technical degree
• 10+ years of experience in delivering software products or systems in various roles, experience in lead engineer/architect roles
• 7+ years in leading test engineering, having ability to identify possible bottlenecks in software quality
• 3+ years in leadership roles in R&D
• Experienced in creating testing strategy, test plans and testing reports & dashboards
• Knowledgeable in several relevant programming languages, such as Java, Python, Gherkin
• Experience in leading test automation for different type of products (embedded/mobile applications, web/backend services, SDKs and test automation frameworks)
• Ability to decide what to automate and what not, bringing value to software development lifecycle
• Ability to communicate complex systems and solutions in an easy-to-understand way to non-technical stakeholders in English (written/speech)
• Experienced working in an Agile team, understanding agile development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
• Experienced in transforming and improving testing processes & practices in agile development
• Experience with coaching and developing technical talent
• Analytical approach and problem-solving skills
