Duties & Responsibilities
Replaces defective pipe by cutting, bending, threading, soldering, caulking and assembling as appropriate.
Assist with the assembly, installation and repair of plumbing, water flow and drainage systems in accordance with city, state and federal plumbing codes
Duties may include digging trenches for new pipeline or installing new hardware in residential, commercial and industrial locations
Re-light any gas fired appliances where necessary following pressure testing and inspections
Interprets and works from blueprints, sketches, and written and oral instructions in order to accomplish assigned tasks. Properly estimates time, material, and equipment needed for the assignment.
Completes required paperwork in a neat, legible, and timely manner (i.e. job requests, requisitions, logs, and daily reports).
Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Requirements
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent
Current valid Plumbing license issued by specific State Division of Professional Licensure (Board of State Examiners of Plumbers & Gas Fitters).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Plumbing Trade.
Knowledge of plumbing code requirements essential.
Must have excellent math skills, manual dexterity to use the tools of the plumbing trade including plumbing snakes, augers, drills, saws and general carpentry hand tools such as hammers, measuring tape, levels and screwdrivers
Must be able to take and follow precise orders from supervisors.
The ability to listen carefully and communicate effectively
Valid unrestricted Driver?s License
Safety Certifications
DOT Medical Examiner?s Certificate
