JOB SUMMARY

Provides technical support to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of pipelines. Supports pipeline integrity engineering, risk management, and regulatory compliance programs. Works closely with multiple stakeholders including Operations, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), and Commercial.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Contributes to collaborative development and maintenance of Integrity Management Program related procedures, required practices, and specifications
  • Applies engineering standards and develops procedures and makes recommendations to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness and performance are met in processes
  • Completes Integrity Management Program activities including, but not limited to, High Consequence Area identification, risk assessments, preventive and mitigative measure selections, data collection, quality assurance performance measurement initiatives, project prioritization, project planning, Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP)/Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) calculations
  • Provides technical support in the areas of pipeline integrity management including In-Line Inspections, hydrostatic strength testing, direct assessments, anomaly investigations, corrosion surveys associated with hydrostatic pressure tests
  • Conducts pipeline anomaly assessments and coordinates technicians to complete repairs as required and in accordance with DCP and Regulatory Standards
  • Assists with assigned Integrity Management project budget and forecasting
  • Provides support in scoping, design, cost estimates, bidding, contractor selection, installation and management of small projects with guidance
  • Engages in development and implementation of strategies to reduce safety risks
  • Maintains project records and ensures compliance with government regulations and contracts
  • Assists other departments within the organization in regulatory compliance efforts
  • Supports the Engineering team the completion of integrity related analyses including, but not limited to, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA), Failure Assessment, Pressure Cycle Fatigue Assessment (PCFA)
  • Stays abreast of engineering standards and procedures, scientific, technical, and regulatory developments related to pipeline integrity management
  • Participates in and supports incident investigations
  • Participates in internal and external Audits
  • Participates in various kinds of meetings, training and commercial support
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum 2 years related experience is required although employees typically have 3-7 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations such as DOT 192/195, OSHA 1910.119 and industry standards and practices such as American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Petroleum Institute (API), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), DOT, etc.
  • Solid communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This role primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. The noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office.Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Varying degrees of work will be completed inside gas plant/field asset conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The noise level may be loud at times. Regularly stoops, squats, kneels, and crouches for durations up to 3 minutes. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant. Occasionally exerts a pulling force of 130 pounds. Frequently may lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may climb A-frame ladders.
  • Occasional travel will be required.

SALARY RANGE

The salary range is $76,700-$122,800
