Summary:
Procures laboratory test samples from patients and normal donors for clinical and research testing purposes; performs phlebotomy using venipuncture, butterfly and microsampling techniques at patient bedside or in Roswell Park approved outpatient location(s); processes proper patient registration and handling of laboratory orders for specimen acquisition within appropriate Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems.

Starting salary for this position is $34,990 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a Phlebotomist I at Roswell Park; or
2. Equivalent experience gained as a Phlebotomist at a comparable institution approved by Roswell Park may be substituted for the above experience requirement on a year for year basis.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have phlebotomy experience in an oncology setting, experience in high volume customer service settings and other relevant professional experiences.
