Payroll Tax Specialist

Basic Job Functions:

This is a non-remote, in office position.

Supports the Payroll Function by ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax reporting and payments for all Nucor Rebar Fabrication US Entities. This is a non-remote, in-office position.

Responsibilities:

• Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and standards.
• Weekly payroll processing
• Prepare required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings for all Nucor Rebar Fabrication US entities
• Remit payroll tax payments to tax authorities (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual)
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal payroll laws and regulations
• May troubleshoot questions with regional Payroll Administrators
• Provides payment details to Regional Controllers for bank reconciliation
• Identify and resolve tax discrepancies and process tax adjustments
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Associate's degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least 3 years' experience processing US Payroll taxes

• Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic equipment
• Lifting/handling computers and related equipment (typically not more than 25 pounds).
• Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus
• Moderate noise level
