This professional staff position will be responsible for forming effective partnerships with school districts and other educational leaders to engage in activities such as student placement, Summer Camps, research, and services developed by UND faculty, staff, and students. This responsibility will include event planning, marketing activities, and managing logistics for the various activities being developed by the College.

• Develop and implement outreach plan for new recruitment & retention activities.
• Develop plans and efforts that align with the strategic plan for the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Retention, focused on new activities and outreach efforts to engage new potential groups of teachers
• Implement the outreach activities connected to this plan, with an emphasis on launching Summer Reading and Summer Stem camps in rural schools; making connections in support of I-REEED projects; and responding to initiatives from the Department of Public Instruction and others that support such efforts.
• Evaluate the impact of these efforts and make adjustments as needed.
• Develop new student teacher and fieldwork placements
• Work with schools throughout our region and beyond to increase capacity, with a goal of placing 200 students per year
• Form and maintain effective working relationships with school leaders, UND faculty, staff, and students to secure and retain effective placements
• Provide guidance and oversight to support staff who implement the logistics of student placement
• Partner with school districts in retention efforts
• Implement and organize the retention plans developed by the Director of the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Retention
• Oversee data collection and evaluation of retention efforts, including getting feedback from schools and participants in such programs
• Ensure training and preparation of graduate students, faculty, and staff delivering retention services.
• Respond to recruitment and retention requests that emerge outside the current planning of this new office.
• Support the management of the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Retention as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in education or closely related field.
• Experience as a P-12 educator or school professional or experience in outreach and recruiting.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
