Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

SUMMARY
The Operations Intern will assimilate how international shipments and supporting data are planned, executed, managed, and monitored on various management levels. The intern will actively perform tasks related to e-learning system and training curriculum, analytics, change management, software and process testing, international communication, performance management and quality - on a global level. For full 360-degree experience, the intern will also spend time with various departments related to / supporting Operations at JAS Worldwide Head office, as well as at the local branch and warehouse, and the USA Headquarters. Most of this position's time will be spent on understanding and performing tasks of operational nature, particular to the area of global business process management and worldwide countries' compliance.
This provides the opportunity to meet various international stakeholders on regular basis. The experience will be complimented with introductions to various supporting functions and rounded up by frequent 'shadowing' of a Global Operations executive through its typical workday.

RESPONSIBILITY & EXPECTATIONS:

Hands-on learning experience at Local Operation branch to understand JAS International Forwarding Operations procedures for end users, local and global Management, International Sea and Airfreight Learn by receiving personal coaching, hands on job experience and self-study of global curriculum on JAS University per the learning plan. Obtain practical knowledge of c1, the leading software in the international freight forwarding industry Comprehend and actively perform tasks of JAS Worldwide Operations Business Process Management specialists JAS University - Learning materials development and maintenance.

Learn the process how to maintain an LMS (Learning Management System)

Learn how to update business process / create training materials.

Create announcements & learn how to communicate effectively across a global organization.

Performance Measurement, KPIs (key performance indicators) Monitoring, Process Improvement.Learn the process how to establish drive alignments across companies

Global Business Rules

KPIs reporting & measurement

Process Improvement

Participate in Regional Management monthly review calls.

KPIs performance analysis and how to establish the metric

Business Requirements

Report analysis and testing

Understand related and supportive functions such as ISO, Sustainability, IT, Finance, Sales, Product through residency experience

At the end of the internship, the Intern is expected to provide process improvement suggestions with the objective of raising efficiency and data accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Junior or Senior in college with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Major in Supply Chain Management, Transportation & Logistics Management, International Business, Business Administration.

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
• Ability to work with all levels of employees successfully
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
• Ability recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively.

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to __%) required in support of the position's responsibilities.
