GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Address functional needs of the child (Birth - 3 years) in various developmental domains, particularly related to adaptive development, behavior and play, and sensory, motor and postural development.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Comply with all Federal and State regulations, including those outlined in the Commonwealth of Virginia Notice of Child and Family Rights and Safeguards.
2. Assessment of children's developmental needs for individualized planning.
3. Provide families with information, skills and support related to enhancing their child's development.
4. Include direct activities with the child designed to enhance the child's development in one or more domains, including: cognition, adaptive functions, social/emotional skills, physical development and communication.
5. Prevent or minimize the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development, or loss of functional ability.
6. Adaption of the environment to meet child/family needs in play, self-help and behavior development.
7. Evaluation of planning and implementation of a therapy program of purposeful activities which are rehabilitative, active or restorative.
8. Training and support of family members in the implementation of the IFSP and environmental consultation as set forth.
9. Promote activities in the "natural setting" to enhance implementation of the IFSP.
10. Complete necessary documentation to facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources.
11. Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all staff and clients we serve.
12. Comply with Virginia Provider Agreement with regard to continuing education, etc.
13. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Virginia Driver's License.
2. Meets degree requirements and criteria for Occupational Therapist as outlined in Virginia
Early Intervention Practice Manual.
3. Registered with American Occupational Therapy Association.
4. Certified by Medical Licensing Board.
5. Knowledgeable of infant/toddler development.
6. Prefer some experience working with birth to 3 population
