Job Description

As the healthcare Administrator you will be responsible for creating appointments, maintaining patient records, greeting patients, data entry, and telephone communications. The ideal candidate will be professional and courteous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and proficient computer skills. You must handle medical information discretely and abide by HIPAA laws.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments.
  • Answering the phone and taking patient questions.
  • Coordinate with nurses and PA to identify their issues and needs.
  • Triage of sick calls and emails.
  • Ensure patient medical records (via EMR) are kept up to date.
  • Inventorying and ordering supplies.
  • Administer surveillance exams (e.g., respiratory fit test, audiometric and vision exams).
  • Calibrate surveillance testing equipment.
  • Administer COVID (nasal swab) testing with Point-of-Care or PCR tests, call patients with results and enter all data into employer and government databases.
  • Will be performing Ergonomic Assessments. Training will be provided.
  • Administrative tasks related to various Environment, Health, and Safety program management including but not limited to:
    • Safety data sheets
    • Dosimetry
    • Good Catch program
    • Confirm training records and/or assign training for employees and contingent workers.
    • Data entry and form creation and editing
    • Management of signs and postings

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business administration, or related field
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solver with good time-management abilities
  • Proven experience with administrative processes is a bonus
  • Proficient computer skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Zoom and Powerpoint
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Attention to detail with good organization and planning skills

  • The individual hired for this role will start in early July, 2024.
  • Candidates located within a commutable distance of Kalamazoo, MI are encouraged to apply.
  • Position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMwith some variation as needed.
