What You'll Do

This position is a night shift & seasonal position, with potential to become full time permanent based on performance. In this role, you'll be assisting as we recycle construction materials such as asphalt. You'll be learning new skills, working on conveyors, and assisting with the production of aggregates. If you're someone who loves to problem solve and troubleshoot and takes pride in rolling up your sleeves to get the job done, this is the career for you. Limited experience? No worries! We'll assist with training to provide you with the skills you need to be successful. If you've got the drive, we'll help you to reach your goals.

Location: Eugene. Must be willing to travel between sites as needed.

Wage: $26+/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime during our busy season.

Shift: Primarily work 10-12 hours per day 5 days per week, and up to 6 days per week per week as needed during the busy construction season. During training, hours will be during the day shift. However, upon completion of training, the workday will shift to night work. Must have flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed per business demands.

What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction, crushing, and/or related field.
  • Knowledge of machines, equipment, mechanic's hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, lubricating tools, hoists, cranes, and service trucks.
  • Knowledge of crushing and production equipment.
  • Welding skills.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Perform general clean-up, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks at the crusher.
  • Shovel excess materials from around conveyors and other areas to prevent build up.
  • Operate loader to supply materials to the crusher plant trucks.
  • Perform general clean-up and maintenance (i.e. oiling, greasing plant equipment) as directed.
  • Be part of a team dedicated to safely providing quality products to our internal and external customers.
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Regular and timely attendance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. Our team will provide you with the necessary PPE, but please provide your own pair of steel-toed or composite boots.
