Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

As a Network Operations Engineer you will be responsible for connectivity, availability, and stability within Intuitive Technical Operations. We work with Engineering teams to understand how all critical applications and services require consistent connectivity along with SLA/SLO's. We need to have adaptability for new technology and create strategies which will benefit a growing infrastructure. On our team you will work with many cross functional internal teams to lead and deliver on projects in an exciting, dynamic environment! Some day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Ensure operational availability across our infrastructure
  • Work towards standard templates and automation tasks, ensure project documentation is complete, shared, and updated periodically
  • Work closely with other Intuitive Business units to understand our application needs for transport end to end
  • Partner with architecture & engineering teams developing networking standards to meet business needs.
  • Partner with architecture teams in developing and deploying next gen technologies Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and ensure technical issues are handled and resolved in a timely manner
  • Participate in on-call (7 x 24) support rotation with other team members

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in Routing, Switching, Firewall security & Automation
  • Strong knowledge with Load Balancing technologies with an emphasis on F5 BIG-IP
  • Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills needed in BGP, SDN, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6, MP-BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, SWITCHING, MAB, DOT1X
  • Strong knowledge in analyzing and troubleshooting - Access Control Lists, Multicast. QoS, Wired Technologies, and low latency environment
  • Strong Knowledge in Firewall Technologies - Installing, maintaining security policies and hardware and software upgrades.
  • Strong Automation skills - Python and Ansible.
  • Understanding of Virtualization, NFV, and SDN.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills along with a professional demeanor.
  • Proven ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and run multiple projects
  • Responding to emergencies and performing effective troubleshooting during production outages.
  • Ability to handle multi-vendor products and environment.
  • CCNA or equivalent certifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco CCISP or equivalent certifications
  • VMware VCP-NV
  • BIG-IP F5
