Overview
Job Summary
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and securing networks. Additionally, this position will research emerging technologies to assess fit for business needs as well as deploy technology per written designs in line with company and industry standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop and review project testing and implementation plans and project timelines.
  • Participate in capacity and performance management of existing infrastructure.
  • Identify and analyze possible threats and vulnerabilities, embed security standards, and monitor adherence to them.
    • Follow security architecture standards, framework, and guidelines.
    • Emphasizes infrastructure security best practices and ensures adoption across corporate solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of detailed disaster recover plans to ensure all infrastructure element (data and systems) have efficient backup solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users.
  • Lead in troubleshooting network and server performance issues.
  • Participate in infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement planning as needed.
  • Travel approximately 20% to various company locations as needed to provide support.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the field or related field.
  • Experience or exposure to appropriate systems such as:
    • Routers, switches, WLCs, Firewalls, Network Load Balancers, SD-WAN
    • Hosted and Cloud Solutions: Co-Lo, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
    • Security solutions: Multi-factor Auth, PAM, SIEM, Pen Testing, Vulnerability Scanning.
    • Infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Advance knowledge of network protocols and operating systems.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field.
  • Strong technical aptitude, creativity, and ability to research and solve complex issues.
  • Experience documenting, project tracking and management reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage incidents and assess risks.
Additional Skills, Experience, and/or Requirements
  • Network+, Security+, CySA+, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with all levels of management, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Critical thinking skills, including logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and competing priorities with a high degree of flexibility in a constantly fast-evolving environment while meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team atmosphere and being an individual contributor with individual projects, deadlines, and accountabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies and/or methodologies to accommodate changes.
  • Driven, self-motivated and always seeking ways to improve current security efforts.
