Job Introduction
Graymont PA has an immediate opening for a Mobile Equipment Technician at its Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania location.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work safely while complying with all company, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Consistently have a positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and efficient work ethic while performing equipment repair tasks and training
-Equipment includes but is not limited to payloaders, haul trucks, mechanical scalers, drills, bolters, misc. vehicles, and other diesel power machinery.
Performing each part of a complete powertrain rebuild including:
-Engine replacement
-Transmission replacement
-Torque converter replacement
-Differential replacement
-Planetary replacement
-Powertrain component rebuilds
-Replacing boom assembly on mechanical scalers
-Successfully completing major project work orders
- Proficient knowledge of diesel emissions control systems
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose complex issues using the appropriate troubleshooting technique on heavy equipment
- Demonstrate high level of completion of preventative maintenance work orders
- Proven ability to safely and efficiently analyze and execute complex projects through completion.
- Have own supply of tools up to ¾" drive sockets and wrenches up to 1 ¼".
- Keep equipment maintained so that breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
- Capable of reading schematics, blueprints, and repair manuals.
- Be able to use both electric and acetylene welding equipment.
- Able to operate a computer to diagnose problems on equipment and access equipment data.
- Be able to read parts manuals to requisition parts and supplies.
- Be able to operate overhead crane in shop or mobile mounted crane.
- Inspect equipment for condition, wear, etc. and record findings as part of preventative maintenance program.
- Must be familiar with JDE (or if new to Graymont, have the ability to learn JDE) to write work orders and order parts.
- Must be familiar with (or if new to Graymont, have the ability to learn) the electronic parts sign-out/catalog.
- Do all other work as specified by the supervisor.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary to meet operational requirements and equipment availability needs.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, sit, squat, crawl, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reach above shoulders and work with tools in this position.
- Must be able to climb ladder up to 50' straight up.
- Applicant must have and maintain in effect a current PA Driver's License.
