JOB SUMMARY:

The Mill Operator uses saws, CNCs, power & hand tools to cut material to provide the plant with missing and/or special pieces to assemble cabinets.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Read & analyze paperwork & computer systems
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs and necessary adjustments to meet quality specs
* Using saws, jigs, and other machinery to cut material for assembly
* Use math concepts for inventory control, material ordering & job order verification
* Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping for yourself and your team



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills/Abilities:


* Ability to identify wood species, finishes, cabinet types, color variances, etc.
* Learn and identify drawer & frame styles and all box components
* Use & read a standard & metric tape measure



Required Education & Experience:


* High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
* Knowledge of CNC routers, Panel Saws & other woodworking equipment
* Basic math concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Required Physical Ability:


* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
* Frequent bending, crouching, pulling & pushing
* Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. & occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.



WORKING CONDITIONS:


* Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures.
* Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, gloves & ear protection.
* The noise level is usually moderate to high.
* Occasional overtime and weekend work, required.
