Job Duties/Description:

• Process accurate billing and collection of medical, behavioral and dental claims
• Help to implement systems and procedures to monitor and ensure all bulling and collection efforts are efficient and effective
• Ensure timely problem resolution between the organization, patients, payer sources and vendors
• Verify all insurance information for patients ahead of scheduled appointments
• Input insurance information into data base
• Assist patients in enrolling in and maintaining public and private health insurance
• Evaluate and interpret patient financial history while ensuring accurate documentation
• Assist patients with completing the application process for available financial resources
• Collect payments for services as necessary and assist self-pay clients with setting up payment plans

Requirements:

• Previous medical insurance/ medical office experience required
• Previous experience in patient collections required
• Familiar with EPIC EMR system
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Bi-lingual (Spanish or Somali) preferred

Additional Info:

• Pay range: $23-29/hr
• Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
• Location: 100% onsite
• Type: Short term contract - 2 months with potential to go longer
