Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates, a member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, is a multispecialty, primary care practice with more than 65 physicians. We have several offices across the South Shore and are affiliated with Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and South Shore Hospital.

Our Team

Brigham and Women's Health Care Center in Hingham located at 6 Shipyard Drive offers expert care in a safe and comfortable environment by our highly experienced clinicians and technicians. We deliver a full range of preventive and health maintenance care. We not only treat a range of acute and chronic health problems, but we also coordinate our patients' care when they need treatment by specialists.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the practice onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

As true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the care team. The ideal candidate profile is an experienced, adaptable Medical Assistant who is confident in their clinical abilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assisting during office visits (rooming/vitals, examinations, procedures, immunizations, and treatments as directed)
  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (administrative support, phone calls, test results, prior authorizations, coordination of care, etc.)
  • Maintaining neat, clean, stocked, and safe exam rooms and patient care areas
  • Interacting with patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner consistent with their needs.

Qualifications
Qualifications

When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only relevant qualifications, skills, and competencies, but also positive attitudes, empathy, and genuine passion for the work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a formal medical assistant training program required
  • CPR certification from a program approved by the American Heart Association required
  • National Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Clinical support experience, specifically in primary care and/or specialty care setting, preferred
