JOB DESCRIPTION

Fired heaters are the engines that drive many process industries, and Woodis seeking a Technical Requisition Specialist to join our Technology and Products team and address the challenges of energy transition and sustainability. The position is in Hampton, NJ with a hybrid working schedule.

Role Overview

The Materials & Logistics Specialist - Senior is responsible for generating technical requisitions for the materials and modularized equipment we procure and supply to our clients. In this role you will develop a specialized understanding of all components in Fired Heaters, and the supply chain by which they are procured, fabricated, and shipped to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Fired Heaters Project team with generating technical requisitions for furnace components including but not limited to tubes, fittings, flanges, castings, valves, insulation, etc.
  • Supporting the Fired Heaters Project team with generating fabrication requisitions for modularized furnace components including finned tube fabrication, radiant section fabrication, convection section fabrication, stack fabrication, etc.
  • Maintaining requisitions and updating them as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reading and understanding structural and mechanical drawings generated by the Fired Heater design team.
  • Reading and identifying relevant code requirements and customer specifications.
  • Understanding the internal supply chain in the Fired Heater office and ensuring requisitions are developed in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Identifying the relevant information required for each respective requisition (from internal technical drawings as well as Internal Fired Heater specifications and client specifications).
  • Collaborate with affiliate worldwide Products groups on practices, standards, and workshare.


QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Qualifications
  • Ability to read technical AutoCAD drawings.
  • Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Organized.
  • Very detail oriented and attention focused.
  • Internship or work experience with Civil, Structural, or Mechanical equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural team and business environment.
