Basic Job Functions:
- The Material Handler will be working in the plant and will pull hardware and buyout materials.
- Prepare and stage orders.
- Lift and pull hardware using a sit-down forklift when needed.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory management within the plant.
- Other duties as assigned and modifiable job responsibilities.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 months of forklift operating experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Previous material handling experience (six months to a year).
- Must be able to work any shift as required including week days and weekends, overtime, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant inventory experience in the material handling or fulfillment industries.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish-language.
