REPORTS TO (POSITION):
Position Purpose:

Effectively schedules the customer requirements within the manufacturing environment and in support of business objectives. Maintains sound relations with Customer Service, Marketing, Materials, and Manufacturing personnel. Accountable for material-related projects including but not limited to: cost reduction targets, lead time reductions, and new scheduling processes.
Essential Functions:
Manage the scheduling of customer orders in a manner consistent with achieving and maintaining the division Customer Service objectives relative to on-time shipment.
Manage the functional activities in a manner consistent with ensuring plant objectives relative to Inventory Management and Manufacturing efficiency are achieved through effective scheduling of customer requirements.
Manage the utilization of forecast data and planning bills to hit all efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
Function as a liaison between Customer Service, Materials Management, and Manufacturing in support of the development and executions of development and implementation of Plant programs (e.g. JIT, Distribution Management, Logistics Management, New product launches, etc.)
Manage lead times, including recommending capacity changes to established targets.

Education and Training
Bachelor's degree in materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
APICS Certification preferred.
Basic understanding of KBM Manufacturing software preferred.
Experienced in the use of MRPII systems in a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in the application of current Materials Management practices including Master Scheduling, MRP, Production Planning & Control concepts, techniques, processes, and procedures.
Skilled in the use of a personal computer and application of spreadsheet, word processing, and project management software.
2-5 years' experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written.
