The Master Planner is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing demand, production and inventory plans that will enable the organization to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Outside Vendors is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish production and inventory plans that balances production resources, supports customer requirements and meets company inventory objectives
  • Monitor assigned inventories and related material movements, reporting, material storage and inventory accuracy
  • Maintain new sales and transport order demand to ensure achievable due dates based on current loading and capacity availability. Communicate new due dates if necessary
  • Monitor and maintain all production orders and/or firm planned requirements from creation through completion
  • Manages WIP and scrap at assigned outside vendors to ensure the timely completion of orders and desired priorities are achieved

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree and at least 3 years of planning/scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment utilizing an ERP based software or a Bachelor Degree specific to Supply Chain Management
  • A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in the specialty metals industry with direct hands on experience with SAP software
