Our Engineering Operations team has an immediate opening at our brand new Vineland, NJ plant for a Manufacturing Engineer who is ready to take their career to the next level. As a Manufacturing Engineer at Comar you will be a critical member of the team developing solutions, continuously improving our processes, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met in support of our customers and the patient or end user of our products. What you will do:

Responsible for meeting customer demand by providing process improvements and engineering services to the manufacturing operation that supports safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives. Develops and implements the strategic, tactical and capital plans to deliver efficient and cost effective operational support.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a safe work environment.
  • Ensures safe and efficient processes
  • Active participant in projects to support our TPI3 culture.
  • Improve maintenance and reliability of equipment.
  • Developed low cost automation improvements for quality, labor efficiency, and throughput.
  • Responsible for facility and equipment capital projects as assigned
  • Responsible for continual improvement in all manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Meets all business and regulatory environmental requirements.
  • Creates the processes and measurement systems to deliver and continuously improve operation support services.
  • Identify long range equipment needs that fit with the business goals.
  • Stay current with industry and technology trends applying best practices.
  • Ensure that workforce skills are appropriate to meet current and future operational challenges

Who we’re looking for:
  • Technical degree from four-year College or University; 4 years related experience and/or training.

Preferred:
  • ISO 13485, and/or 9001.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Do you have?
  • Solid Understanding of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and Statistical Quality Controls (SQC) and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of plastic processing equipment and plastic materials, including injection molding, injection blow molding, and extrusion molding using polyethylene, polypropylene, PET, polystyrene, and all other thermoplastics and engineering resins.
  • Understanding of mold and tooling design related to plastic processing.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft office suite, database administration, ERP), proficient in creating and managing pivot tables in EXCEL and ability to become user proficient in IQMS.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with managing various technical resources.
  • Leadership qualities to define requirements for project risks.
  • Organizational, presentation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, including communication of complex projects in straightforward terms.
