MANAGER PRODUCT IMPLEMENTATION (HEALTHCARE)

Telecommute thru Onsite Options - Must reside in ID, OR, UT or WA

WHO WE NEED

The Manager Product Implementation provides leadership and oversight of the Medicare Advantage Product Implementation team. Responsible for leading a team of product implementation managers in project-driven activities to ensure delivery of products and project plans. This position aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services. The role identifies and implements technologies, workflows, and sourcing partnerships to effectively meet strategic commitments. Scope includes bid submission, creation of mandated materials such as Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) and Evidence of Coverage (EOC), and oversight of vendor and plan implementation.

The Manager Product Implementation would have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in managing large and complex projects
  • 3 years of experience installing new insurance product and enhancements and 3 years leadership/supervisory experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registration, Etc.

Certificate in Project Management is preferred.

YOUR ROLE:
  • Leads a team of four to coordinate key business processes around:
    • Medicare Advantage bid entry (Plan Benefit Packages or PBPs) including accuracy and timeliness
    • Development, fulfillment and accuracy of Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) mandated materials
    • Lead implementation and management of new vendor programs in support of supplemental benefits and programs
  • Handles all management level responsibilities for staff, including performance reviews, employee development, hiring, firing, coaching, counseling, and retention.
  • Regularly communicates organizational objectives and team goals.
  • Monitors results and metrics to ensure deliverables are met and compliance with department and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with other leaders and across departments to resolve issues.
  • Manages financial targets and department budget, authorizes expenditures, monitors workforce allocation and resources, and oversees project plans.
  • In conjunction with division leadership, establishes long-term goals for department and adapts operational plans as changes occur.
  • Responsible for project outcomes through effective project planning, task definition, scope management, resource allocation, release planning and negotiation, risk mitigation, cost management and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensures project objectives remain consistent with the overall business strategy and are deployed on schedule and within budget, while satisfying agreed-upon customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the projects.
  • Oversees the regulatory filing process to ensure benefit template completion and coordination among key stakeholders.
  • Provides team leadership and creativity in the planning and implementation of the project success and assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate project resources and provide guidance and direction to project team members.
  • Responsible for project delivery and outcomes through effective project planning, task definition, scope management, resource allocation and negotiation, risk mitigation, cost management, and stakeholder communication to successful completion; accountable for the quality and timeliness of all defined projects, and for issues (goals, resource allocation, release planning, technology architecture, etc.) within the projects.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Experience in Medicare payors including knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to Medicare Advantage bid, plan design, marketing materials and/or vendor/program oversight
  • Experience managing vendor programs in accordance with CMS regulations, First Tier, Downstream, and Related Entities (FDRs), member experience and Star impacts
  • Ability to identify issues, opportunities, and effective solutions and collaborate with other departments to improve processes and/or results.
  • Demonstrated competency in resource and project management: budgeting, organizing work, providing leadership to staff, establishing measures for success, and managing to deliverables.
  • Ability to develop and lead a team including: hiring, goal setting, coaching and development (including supervisors and/or employees who may be in multiple locations or work remotely).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project life-cycles and product development lifecycles.
  • Understands new product and product enhancements and can represent them as a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated success at meeting project budget, timelines, requirement targets and managing variances.
  • Experience in establishing specific deliverables for staff assigned to large scale, complex projects.

The expected hiring range for this position is $119.8k - $162k depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 15%. The current full salary range for this role is $112k Low Range/141k MRP/ $184k High Range.
