Maintenance Technician III

Compensation: $22.98/hour

The Maintenance Technician III oversees the ongoing maintenance functions of specified facility or facilities' physical plants, equipment and grounds in order to provide a safe and clean environment that meets the standards of all applicable regulatory authorities.

This is a Full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule in Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC

* Conduct regular training with in-house staff on department-related material
* Participate in regular departmental and committee meetings as assigned
* Complete work orders that require higher skill levels
* Assist with in-house construction projects
* Enter data into computerized work order management system
* Keep tools maintained and inventoried
* Work with minimal supervision and with multiple types of tools to complete assigned tasks
* Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the company and the department

WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK

* Regular exposure to electrical hazards
* Exposure to biohazard and/or chemical waste materials
* Operating vehicles or machinery

* High School/GED required
* Associates degree preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

* At least five (5) years' experience in an institutional or healthcare maintenance position preferred
* Advanced skill-level in at least two (2) trades preferred
* Working knowledge of building blueprints preferred
* Working knowledge of NFPA National Building Codes, National Fire Codes, and Building Codes preferred
* Working knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare/Medicaid and OSHA requirements regarding safety and equipment preferred
* The ability to juggle multiple projects on multiple sites, collaborate with multiple disciples and coordinate with multiple vendors and contractors preferred
* A valid driver's license at the time of hire required
