Job Overview:

Provide planning and onsite support to the Geismar, LA site, with a strong focus on safety and rotating equipment reliability. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installation as required.

Performs all the administrative and reporting tasks of the position including:

• Maintains operating and maintenance history for all equipment as may be required.
• Prepares and maintains documentation such as EAM work orders, service reports and equipment record as required by Linde maintenance procedures and best practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical/millwright duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
• Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
• Specific responsibilities include Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and the ability to perform equipment alignments.
• Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation.
• Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
• Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database.
• Always maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness.
• Required to climb ladders, stairways and operate man-lifts for elevated work.
• Instructs contract personnel on safety rules and regulations and maintains constant surveillance to always assure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years' experience in an industrial production environment
• Ability to interpret equipment drawings required.
• Functional computer skills required.
• On-call ability required, 24/7 operations.
• Willing to support multiple facilities within the Southeast Louisiana area. Opportunities may exist for travel outside the region.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of skilled trades, Journeyman Millwright/Machinist experience preferred
• Reciprocating and Centrifugal compressor knowledge preferred.
• Associates degree or professional certification preferred
