Description:
At Judge Healthcare, we are seeking dedicated and compassionate LPNs to join our medical-surgical team in our clients downtown acute care hospital. Responsibilities:

• Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with RNs to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of patients.
• Assist with the nursing process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of patients.
• Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
• Demonstrate accountability for the quality of your own nursing practice.
• Perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services as assigned.
• Accurately observe and collect patient data.
• Perform IV therapy or venous blood draws.
• Communicate patient findings appropriately to the RN.
• Contribute to and suggest resources in the formation and revision of the Plan of Care (POC) with patients and significant others.
• Assist RN in developing discharge plans of care.
• Organize time and priorities effectively.
• Differentiate priority of risk and urgency.
• Use critical thinking to implement the plan of care.
• Communicate the plan of care to patients and significant others, documenting patient outcomes.
• Direct staff in the implementation of the plan of care.
• Practice nursing in accordance with appropriate guidelines.
• Continuously evaluate and assist the team in revising the plan of care.
• Be accountable for the nursing process and respond to Quality Improvement (QI) monitoring.
• Attend staff meetings, including training sessions.
• Attain 10 CEUs (Continuing Education Units).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of recent LPN experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Current State LPN license.

Float Requirements:

• Floating may be required to any location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location
• Float assignments may include duties outside of the original assignment job requirements (including skill set) in accordance with policy.
