What we need:

This position is for commercial driver roles. It recruits qualified candidates for driving positions for all Mohawk Industries as well as coordinates job postings and the hiring process across the continental U.S.

What you'll do:

  • Execute traditional and creative recruiting strategies that attract ideal candidates.
    • Attend network events to build existing partnerships and identify new recruiting vendors
    • Take a proactive approach in developing new recruiting partnerships
  • Work with managers to review skills needed for open positions:
    • Review job descriptions
    • Post ads on job boards, online application system, and newspapers or other publications and work with our communications on branding initiatives
  • Conduct day-to-day recruiting activities by company guidelines and policies
    • Actively source and manage driver leads via inbound and outbound calls, e-mail, social media, resume and other internet databases, and employee referrals
    • Sort, review and assess received resumes and applications
    • Contact potential candidates, interview, gather, and analyze information to obtain a complete application and pre-qualify applicants
    • Read, review, and understand all reports (i.e. MVRs, DAC, and background checks).
  • Use the highest standards when hiring a potential driving associate.
    • Qualifies candidates based on DOT and company guidelines
    • Review top candidates with the hiring manager
  • Coach hiring managers on interview questions and legal issues involved with interviewing.
    • Correspond with candidates not slated to be interviewed
    • Coordinate interview schedule with top candidates and hiring manager
    • Conduct follow up reviews of candidates with the hiring manager
    • Coordinate offer letter, background check, DOT physicals, etc.
    • Correspond with top candidates not selected for the position
  • Ensure that all candidates are in the applicant/employee tracking system for EEO/AA tracking.
  • General administrative duties. Other duties as needed.

What you have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 3+ years in recruiting or staffing OR 6+ years and the combination of education and experience to accomplish the essential duties of the job.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn employment laws to include all DOT regulations, and guidelines.
  • Experience using the Tenstreet applicant tracking system is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to read, write and interpret routine reports and correspondences.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
