SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Logistics Analyst is responsible for functions related to logistics, planning, processes, and control. He or she contributes to freight budget process and measures compliance, defines logistics solutions through application of experience, knowledge of GameStop business processes, and problem analysis to create service improvements or cost reductions in response to problems. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor's advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Provide analytical support to development of logistics strategy
  • Assist manager to develop processes for spend visibility and overall spend control
  • Assist manager to develop processes for billing audit, provide training, and ensure contract compliance
  • Provide analytical support to executives on logistics/supply chain related decision making
  • Assist managers to conduct sourcing activities including contract negotiations for logistics service providers
  • Manage relationship with logistics services providers, establish processes for performance measurement and improvement
  • Assists manager to develop metrics for measuring overall network performance
  • Participates in short & long-term planning and budgeting processes.
  • Provides regulatory compliance advice, information, and reporting to meet requirements of Customs, Commerce Department, and other government entities.
  • Benchmark industry best-practices and provide recommendations on network optimization
  • Develop excellent working knowledge of creative and production functions so that accurate project timelines are developed
  • Establishment and measurement of KPI metrics and driving corrective actions for when targets are not being met
  • Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization; adhere consistently with all organizational policies related to our respectful workplace

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in supply chain and logistics management discipline, or related field required; at least two years of additional related work experience may be considered in substitution.
  • At least 2 total years of experience in logistics/parcel management preferably with UPS or FedEx. Alternative parcel carrier experience, such as regional carriers a plus.
  • Working Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems like Manhattan or Red Prairie preferred
  • Experience in forecasting, data mining, statistical analysis, optimization, and simulation
  • Knowledge in the application of EDI concepts and specifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient analytical skills and proficiency in the use of PC software tools for reports, analysis, audits, and presentations
  • Proficient situational analysis, negotiation, problem solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Expert ability to communicate with others of varying knowledge and responsibility throughout the organization by using spoken and written English

  • Occasional (less than 10%) International/Domestic travel to manufacturing/supplier sites is required
