Functions

• Add Ingredients into Predust, Breader and Batter Machines
• Adjust viscosity of batter
• Adjust Machines to achieve proper Breading and Batter application per specification
• Monitor the processing of the product

Description

This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that mixes, blends and applies ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Responsible for operating breading and batter operations on the line to include dumping breader and batter bags. Must be able to read and write to ensure correct breader and batter ingredients are brought to the line for each product, taking batter and breader pickup tests as indicated by product or USDA specs, testing and maintaining required batter viscosity. Making sure breader and batter machines are always running properly. Must be able to lift 50 lb. bag of ingredients repetitively for entire shift. Must be able to climb steps to dump ingredients into machines. Must be able to work in a dusty environment and in temperatures of 50 degrees F or less to include wet floor surfaces. Must be able to stand for 100% of production hours. Rate of work is fast paced and must be neat with paperwork and keep work area clean. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor. Applicants must be willing to wear all proper safety equipment and must be willing to work weekends when required. This job requires Heavy lifting of 50lb bags repetitively for 8-hour shift continuously. THE TYLER ROAD SAFETY GOAL IS ZERO ACCIDENTS!

Requirements

This position is discretionary. Internal applicants cannot have more than 5 attendance points at the time of the job bid and no more than 3 write-ups of any kind within the past 12 months.
