The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for administering the adjuster licensing program. This role serves as the operational point of contact regarding all individual adjuster licensing matters and ensures compliance in accordance with the statutory regulations.

  • Assist unlicensed employees with all aspects of adjuster licensing, including but not limited to, ordering study materials, providing guidance for preparation courses, and with scheduling examinations.
  • Process license applications with the state agencies; facilitate bonding, background checks and fingerprinting as necessary, and expedite resolution of concerns throughout the process.
  • Evaluate adjuster license expirations and renewal dates; communicate to the appropriate parties within the pre-designated timeframes to ensure a timely renewal process.
  • Assign and release jurisdictional appointments with the company as required by the statute, as applicable.
  • Organize Continuing Education Units (CEU) in partnership with Managed Care and external vendor sources, and maintain database containing the status of individual adjuster CEU.
  • Design and implement a document resource library including copies of current state governing regulations, individual adjuster licensing applications and license copies, and related materials.
  • Maintain licensing database for the Company; perform annual quality assurance audits to ensure that adjuster profiles, license information and records are accurate and current.
  • Collaborate with field office Operations and the Compliance Manager to ensure adjusters are duly licensed and bonded in a timely manner.
  • Establish monthly License Compliance Reports to distribute to Leadership; set forth action plans to resolve compliance deficiencies.
  • Process financial transactions for all licensing expenses and submit invoices for reconciliation; ensure expense accounts are current and not in a delinquent status.
  • Comply with jurisdictional licensing requirements; maintain up to date knowledge of the regulatory environment of the claims management industry.
  • Provide education to the employees about state licensing requirements and regulations, address all questions and concerns in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the regulatory environment of the claims management industry
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills; ability to facilitate multiple tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong initiative and motivation to implement processes, establish goals and action plans, and ensure procedural compliance
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Product Suite, i.e. Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Travel for business purposes, approximately less than 15%
