Summary:

The Music Department at Skidmore College is seeking a Visiting Instructor to teach Music Technology I (MU255) in Fall 2024.  This course combines classroom teaching with hands-on studio instruction.  Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays (11:10-12:30) in our technology classroom (enrollment capped at 18 students), with access to the Grossman Recording Studio and live-room as a teaching resource.  This is a part-time position with a pay of $6815.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience preferred.

Applicants should submit: a letter of application, cv, recordings of work in multiple genres, contact information for three references (who will only be contacted at a later stage of the search), and optionally sample syllabi.  Letters of application should clearly state: the applicant's interest in liberal-arts education and in Skidmore in particular; the applicant's understanding of, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.  Application review will begin on April 29 and will continue until filled.
