Job Description:
The NAIC is excited to open applications for our Leaders of Tomorrow Internship Program. This inaugural program will provide a glimpse into the multifaceted field of Insurance Regulation.
Students will get the chance to:
- Work on special assignments with their manager and team.
- Learn about Insurance Regulation.
- Visit with a variety of NAIC departments to connect with colleagues.
- Tour an Insurance State Department.
- Attend NAIC employee events.
- Participate in resume and interview skill building activities.
Internship Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis
- Gather data and information to support decision-making processes.
- Summarize findings and present them to the team.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas
- Attend regular team meetings to stay informed about ongoing projects.
- Share insights and suggestions to enhance project outcomes.
Complete assigned tasks within deadlines
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Seek guidance when needed and communicate progress regularly.
Assist with daily tasks and projects
- Collaborate with team members to achieve goals and deliverables.
Education and/or Experience required
- Current enrollment in insurance regulation, risk management, actuarial science, law, financial or credit analysis, project management or a similar degree from an accredited college or university.

Program Details
Schedule:Hybrid, up to three days in the Kansas City, Missouri office.
Up to 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation: $22 per hour
Up to $5,000 stipend to assist with room and board.
Start Date: Monday, May 13, 2024
End Date: August 16, 2024
Additional Details: Interns qualify for health insurance, office parking, employee assistance program, and wellness events.
