Job Title: Lead Plumber (STE)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Lead Plumber in Washington, DC. As a working Lead and Technical expert, this individual is responsible to his immediate supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and components in his/hers specialty. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assigns work with quality control and in the absence of other leads will provide direction as needed.
• Installs and/or repairs various plumbing equipment (water heaters, pumps, drinking fountains, toilets, sinks, etc...) throughout the facility
• Performs preventive maintenance, make various plumbing repairs, respond to service calls, must be able to read prints and perform inspections, heavy maintenance repairs, etc...
• Demonstrates leadership and communication skills with staff, supervisors and various government agencies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Master Plumbing License issued by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
• Must have 10 years of plumbing plant and building experience for maintaining and upgrading plumbing and piping equipment.
• Must be certified/licensed in pipefitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler system
• Must have general knowledge of domestic water systems, fire suppression, storm and sanitary systems, HVAC, etc...
• As a Lead will need to have leadership skills, computer skills, communication with staff, Supervisors, and various Government entities
