Job Summary

Responsible for implementation and administration of a full range of compensation programs including base pay structures, annual increases, incentive programs, executive compensation and job evaluation. Researches, analyzes, evaluates and recommends changes to ensure compensation programs are competitive to market and supports the company's strategic initiatives and business plans.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Establishes, maintains and aligns compensation programs. Researches market data, conducts job evaluations, and determines offers for new hires and promotions.Ensures data integrity and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Researches compensation trends and develops annual increase budgets, guidelines and market adjustments.
  • Administers variable compensation programs (incentive plans, recognition, etc.), including system configuration and administration, develops project plans, communications, payment calculations, and submission to payroll. Models financial impact of programs.
  • Participates in general and industry-related salary surveys. Conducts benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Conducts short and long-term incentive tracking and calculations.
  • Performs compensation related research projects, evaluates information, prepares presentations for leadership.
  • Interprets application of new regulations and judicial decisions related to compensation and ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), federal, state and local laws governing compensation practices.
  • Delivers presentations and provides training on various compensation programs including developing information for presentation to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors for approval.
  • Creates and updates job descriptions.
  • Creates communication for compensation programs, conducts special projects or other assignments as required.
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Minimum of 8 years compensation experience. Experience in accounting, financial analysis, data analytics, or other detailed analytic work may substitute for some of this experience requirement.
  • Experience in market pricing, incentive plans and base pay management including compliance and administration.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, planning, design, researching, analyzing large volumes of data, track record for auditing work.
  • Excellent math/quantitative skills and familiarity with financial concepts usage.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management within the organization and effectively advocate compensation philosophy to a variety of internal audiences.
  • Expert abilities in Excel required. Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
