Overview

This role is a part time opportunity to work with Beazer Homes Land Development. The role will provide support to the Land development department including but not limited to document control for plans and permits, assist with development schedules & budgets, field coordination and updates, along with coordination between departments.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track weekly progress of development contractors.
  • Evaluate field progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Assist with closeout of developed communities.
  • Manage document control per Beazer Homes standards for communities in development.
  • Assist with review of bid for multiple vendors.
  • Quantity take-offs for any scope of land development as needed.
  • Review contractors Pay-Apps against field progression.
  • Review plans from municipalities against civil plans to mitigate conflicts.
  • Request information as needed from contractors and consultants.


Education & Experience

  • Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineer, Construction Management or closely related, from an accredited university.
  • Willing to work 20-30 hours a week, 8am to 5pm, work schedule to be accommodated with semester class schedule.

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness in learning various techniques in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat or any similar software.


Physical Requirements

  • Duties are performed approximately 50% in the office, and 50% on project sites (mainly in field offices), but may encounter temperature, weather, and noise variations; may encounter electrical, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous machinery and moving objects and toxic conditions.
