Investment Research Senior Analyst - Early Career

• Be part of Mercer's global team of approximately 35 alternatives research specialists who are spread across 4 countries
• Access to a wide variety of asset managers via participation in meetings
• Participate in and undertake detailed due diligence of hedge fund strategies, ultimately making proposals for Mercer's recommended list

We will count on you to:

• Participate in and/or lead interviews with portfolio management teams and business leaders
• Conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative due diligence and synthesize key elements and data points to form opinions and written research reports
• Develop and maintain relevant data, charts, summary views, and detailed analysis in support of our research ratings
• Meet the needs of clients - including analytics, strategic research, etc.
• As appropriate, attend external conferences to help develop technical knowledge and personal career
• Contribute to post meeting discussions covering key issues and recommended manager ratings
• Provide ad hoc support to consultants in preparing for internal and external meetings
• Assist in the preparation for direct client discussions on managers/strategies

What you need to have:

• BA/BS degree in finance, economics, or other business-related areas
• Intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and willingness to learn and take on new opportunities
• Analytical skills and attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and work in a rapidly changing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and thrives in a team environment, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient with Excel and strong working knowledge of MS Office
