SUMMARY:

  • Requests and obtains necessary clearances, overflight permits, airport “slots,” and landing/traffic rights from a multitude of civil aviation authorities and defense attaché offices globally.
  • Has familiarity with US and foreign government information systems such as RSFCC and APACS for auditing/generating DOD trip contracts, including but not limited to: IATA Foreign Clearance Guides, Dangerous Goods References, etc.
  • Requests landing approvals and coordinated aircraft movements with Air Force Bases and Naval Air Stations domestically and internationally via the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center (USAF).
  • Generates and audits trip portfolios containing aforementioned documentation for use by flight following personnel and other members of management.
  • Integrates historical and current geo-political events into aircraft route construction and execution.
  • Has extensive working knowledge of geography, both in nation-states and airports/cities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever changing environment due to flight operational requirements, vendor’s needs, payload restrictions, company requests, and/or crew legalities.
  • Maintain a good working relationship and uphold company’s repertoire with permit agents and vendors globally.
  • This position would work closely with aircraft schedulers, flight followers, duty/OCC managers, and any other relevant departments on coordinating international flight operations.
  • To ease the workload off the duty/OCC managers and various other departments, the International Flight Clearance Coordinator would have a longer-range vision for the flight operations of Amerijet International.
  • Duty/OCC Managers would be responsible for the present-time, the next 24 hours, and possibly the next 48 hours of aircraft, crew, and cargo movement. The IFC Coordinator would be a reference/liaison for the aforementioned departments.
  • The IFC Coordinator would be responsible for preemptively having all the proper aspects and documentation necessary for international flight operations ready for the various managers and flight followers in a timely and orderly fashion (approx.72 Hours and beyond the time of departure/arrival).These requirements change with the type of trip planned, the customer we are operating for, and the cargo we are flying.
  • Obtaining permits from a vendor ensures that the correct information is communicated and that the correct businesses/governmental bodies are contacted. This also ensures international law and regulations for international air cargo carriage are followed and adhered to.
  • Any other duties requested by Amerijet.
