Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Controls Specialist/ PLC Specialist to join our team at our Vineland, NJ facility. Candidates will play a crucial role in the maintenance, repair, and programming of PLC systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes during the 2nd shift. This is a direct hire position that does not require a college degree, but demands significant expertise in PLC repair and programming.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of PLC systems to identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and modify PLC programs as needed to enhance system functionality and meet specific requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement upgrades, modifications, and new installations of PLC systems.
- Create detailed reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and provide technical support.
- GED or AA is needed
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in repairing and programming PLC systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Familiarity with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems
- Previous Manufacturing/Distribution Experience
- Must be available for 2nd shift work
