About the Position:

The Information Systems Specialist is member of the Admission Operations team within the Division of Enrollment Services. Primary responsibilities include performing business critical data loads for the Undergraduate and Graduate Admission departments to facilitate the admissions application progression and completion. The Information Systems Specialist also maintains the integrity of admission data and provides regular quality assurance review by developing and maintaining quality checks to identify and resolve data issues.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee admission data loads - Administration of daily admission application data and test score loads to Slate CRM and Peoplesoft SIS systems from various third-party vendors insuring timeliness and accuracy. Perform prospective student data loads to Slate CRM to support recruitment efforts for directors and admission counselors. Coordinate with business analysts on Operations team with distribution of daily admissions reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage data integrity - Monitor quality assurance reports to identify and resolve data issues, analyze data reconciliation through batch data loads between CRM and SIS. Perform record consolidation to resolve duplicate records. Develop and maintain queries for auditing and quality assurance. Ensure application progression through regularly monitoring admission processing of decision updates, deposit-payments and matriculation to ensure enrollment eligibility. Perform batch data updates as needed to facilitate business process changes
  • Collaboration and Customer Support - Provide exceptional customer service to recruiting and administrative staff for Undergraduate and Graduate admission departments across campus to resolve admission and enrollment related issues. Work closely with Enrollment Services departments with implementation of new programs, integrative testing and adoption of new functionality and services for new incoming students.
  • Testing and Training - Assist with quarterly updates and fixes testing for Peoplesoft SIS admissions-related business processes. Update procedural documentation for updates to process requirements. Work closely with business analysts to provide recommendations for improvements to business processes. Provide training for new operations staff. Perform other job-related duties and special projects within the scope of Admission and the Division of Enrollment Services as assigned by Director of Operations.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidate with Bachelor's degree is preferred.

A minimum of three (3) years of work experience is required.

Candidate with experience in Higher Education is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate with experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Candidate with student administrative system experience including PeopleSoft IS, Slate CRM or closely related systems is preferred. Candidate with working knowledge of Microsoft Access and general knowledge of database concepts is preferred. Attention to detail is critical for this position.

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Candidate must possess the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills, attention to detail.

Candidate would be required to work beyond normal business hours during peak times.
