JOB DESCRIPTION

Tremco Construction Products Group brings together Tremco CPG Inc.'s Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing and Roofing & Building Maintenance divisions; Tremco Barrier Solutions Inc.; Dryvit, Nudura and Willseal brands; Prebuck LLC; Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.; Weatherproofing Technologies Canada and PureAir Control Services, Inc. Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for diagnosing and fixing all electrical problems facility-wide and performs preventative maintenance to keep all equipment in operating condition. Contributes to the implementation of capital projects with technical expertise and assistance, and oversees contractors if required. Modifies existing equipment to improve effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
  • Diagnose, locate the cause, and repair malfunctioning systems, and components using test equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Work on other electrical projects as required.
  • Modifies existing equipment to improve effectiveness.
  • Requires some mechanical maintenance.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, local and federal safety regulations, codes, and specifications.
EDUCATION
  • Associate degree or diploma from college or technical school required.
  • Completion of relevant apprenticeship preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training
  • Minimum 3 years of experience/knowledge working in the LEAN manufacturing environment or similar capacity.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong problem solver, creative, methodical and will possess strong analytical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Ability to read, troubleshoot, and perform small modifications on ladder PLC programs
  • Able to work well in a fast paced, chemical manufacturing environment
