We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Celgard where we develop and manufacture membrane battery separators that are critical components used in lithium-ion batteries for electric drive vehicles (EDVs) and energy storage systems (ESS).

Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager at the Concord Manufacturing Plant, you will join a HR team that is geographically dispersed worldwide. As you come on board, we will expect you to gain a thorough understanding of our people, products, processes and systems to begin making a real impact.

General Duties of the Job:

  • Understanding the business and its dynamics to help address the department and people needs.
  • Assisting with employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new employees in order to accelerate integration into the company.
  • Providing guidance to frontline leadership as an HR advisor on staffing, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Collaborating with other HR colleagues and/or Center of Expertise (COEs) to implement HR programs.
  • Providing HR reports and ensuring accuracy and reliability of the data.
  • Comfortable working and walking in a manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Generalist at the Charlotte Manufacturing Plant to complete plant-wide projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a HR discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in HR with a Bachelor's degree.
  • 0-1 years of experience in HR with a Master's degree.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytic and diagnostic skills.
  • High sense of responsibility and integrity.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, customer-focused, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong computer skills (MS office) and HRIS a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently as necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task effectively.
  • Ability foster and maintain relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to travel between the Concord and Charlotte North Carolina Manufacturing sites.
