This role is responsible for assisting all ZRS segments with their vendor selection and fee growth strategy while overseeing a team of 2 direct reports. This position will support segments in partnership with ZRS vendor management with onboarding of select strategic vendors and identify value-add and transactional vendor services while assist in the development of strategic packages.

Ideally looking for candidates who can be in the Schaumburg, IL office, but open to a Remote candidate who is open to traveling 25% to the Schaumburg, IL office.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support & facilitate segment IoT and Digital technology initiatives.

  • Assist in developing AI capabilities/services for ZRS organization.

  • Align ZRS services in collaboration of Zurich Government Affairs efforts/focus on behalf of organization.

  • Analyze, interpret, and evaluate strategic vendor performance, results, trends and initiate appropriate recovery plans to improve performance or work with the vendor management team to remove offerings as appropriate.

  • Plans, recruits, and assigns resources to assist field staff with proposals and budgeting for vendor service offerings.

  • Provides segments with resources and planning to help manage vendor service initiatives and other customer offerings.

  • Participates in projects related to service delivery, satisfaction, and quality.

  • Monitors potential changes with emerging issues that will potentially impact vendor programs and support cyber, climate, ESG and other ZRS strategic priorities with strategic vendor needs.

  • Identifies developmental needs to service the work for segments and business partners.

  • Conducts field audits to provide coaching, and improve segment activities, workflows, and performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of exposures, controls and best practice risk improvement methodologies
  • People management experience
  • Insurance industry certification

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $127,400.00 - $208,600.00.
