We are hiring for a Graduate Industrial Hygienist to join our team on a full-time, direct basis while based at our office in the Haddon Heights, NJ area.  This person will have the opportunity to our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) operations throughout the region!

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contribute to EHS projects by performing individual tasks in coordination with a Supervisor, Project Professional, Project Manager, or other technical professional.
  
• Contribute to Industrial Hygiene projects associated with asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and/or indoor air quality.
  
• Perform asbestos abatement oversight as well as environmental building surveys (and write reports accordingly).
  
• Prepare reports; these include observations, analysis of contaminants, and recommendations for control & correction of hazards.
  
• Prepare and implement site health & safety plans, as required.
  
• Utilize appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  
• Ensure that employee safety is an utmost priority both in-house and on-site (in accordance with corporate policy).
  
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria while working; this includes using judgment in making minor adaptations & modifications (as needed).
  
• Participate in more-detailed investigations and/or site assessments or larger projects / more-complex studies (as needed).
  
• Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
  

 

 

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  

 

This person will be expected to work regularly in the field, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of relevant coursework in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, EHS, or a related field of study; Associate’s degree (or higher) is a plus!
  
• Completion of specialized Asbestos Inspection / Asbestos Abatement training; Philadelphia API credential is a plus!
  
• Exposure to working with EHS-related tasks (preferably with Industrial Hygiene and/or Environmental Remediation).
  
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and software, especially Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  
• Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating strong character and dependability.
  
• Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
