Late Development Oncology sits within our broader Oncology Research & Development organization. We take an inter-disciplinary approach including novel biomarkers, AI, novel endpoints and cutting-edge trial designs to shape the future of our business and Oncology.

What you'll do

As Global Clinical Operations Program Director, you will be responsible for the overall program management of a number of global studies delivered by global study leaders, , covering all clinical development deliverables. Overseeing quality, budget, time, resource and risk, you have the ability to drive the delivery of a suite of clinical trials, developing operational strategies to optimise trial execution . The role also involves integrating design, feasibility and operational planning to ensure clinical drug development programs are aligned with priorities and strategy.

Collaborating with the Senior Global Clinical Operations Program Director you have the opportunity to provide input and support in preparation for governance interactions and lead cross-functional teams in delivery of clinical activities assigned.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in medical or biological sciences or field associated with clinical research.
  • Appropriate experience from 8-12 years within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries or similar large global organization.
  • Proven knowledge of clinical operations, project management tools and processes.
  • Proven experience of clinical development / drug development process in various phases of development and therapy areas.
  • Proven ability to learn by working in multiple phases, therapeutic areas and/or different development situations.
  • Experience leading clinical projects, results or similar expertise from other areas of drug development (such as pharmaceutical development).
  • Ability to mentor, develop and educate staff.
  • Proven leadership promoting motivation and empowerment of others in order to accomplish individual, team and organizational objectives.
  • Skilled & experienced in organizational change.
  • Ability to look for and champion more efficient and effective methods/processes of delivering Clinical Development focusing on key performance metrics around reliability, efficiency, cost and quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and lead priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a regional and local environment.
  • Integrity and high ethical standards.

Desirable education, skills and experience for this role
  • Advanced degree in medical or biological sciences or field associated with clinical research.
  • Late Oncology clinical development experience
  • Experience of incorporating digital health and patent centric strategies into clinical studies
