As a Glazier installer your position would entail installing glass in windows, skylights, store fronts, and display cases, or on surfaces such as building fronts, interior walls, ceilings, and tabletops.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle glass products through entire process from shipping to install
  • Travels to and from shops and job sites (in company vehicle)
  • Fabricates glass and assembles to the fames
  • Install glass in commercial store fronts and curtain walls
  • Load and log materials onto truck and make notation of returned materials
  • Erects scaffolding or ladders to height needed to install glass
  • Observe job site safety rules and know the location of the MSDS packets in your vehicle
  • Comply with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain tools and truck housekeeping, and maintenance
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle and follow all driving safety rules
  • Responsible for completing paperwork and returning to production coordinator daily
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Punctual, reliable, and honest, with a team player attitude.

Position requires a drug test and motor vehicle report to be completed, contingent upon employment.

Physical Demands

  • Use common hand tools
  • Follow job instructions and record materials used
  • Lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Climb ladders
  • Bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, knees
  • Stand for extended periods of time


Work Environment

Works in a construction environment; able to adapt to weather conditions.
